Blogger is a free site used to create a personal blog. Reflections are written on an ongoing basis. New writings show up at the top of the page so others can see what was written recently.
Application
Students will take their Flat Stanley home with them for the weekend and write about his weekend adventures in their Blog.
Benefits
Students will be able to design their own blog using templates provided. The elements are drag and drop which are easy to use. Photos from your computer can be uploaded to your blog. There is a help button available from any screen or students can email questions to support staff.
Challenges
Some students, especially those who have not had prior online education or internet access may have trouble learning how to use a blog. Those who are taking classes at home will have to ask their parents or instructors for expertise. If students are taking online classes at a charter school or technical college there will be instructors available to help them.
